Enjoy a beautiful boat cruise through the bays, coves and waterways of the remote and isolated Pelorus Sound.
On the way we will stop to spot marine wildlife like the Little Blue Penguin and the Fluttering Shearwaters.
After a drink and snack at the local waterfront cafe ‘Te Rawa’, we visit the Gannet Colony in Beatrix Bay. The Australasian Gannet can be seen making spectacular dives for fish, often in large flocks.
To make the tour nothing but enjoyable we only go out with reasonable calm weather.
The price for this tour is $125 per adult, $25 per child.
Starting point of the tour at Elaine Bay, we leave at 11.00am.
We need a minimum of four adults.
(On request it is possible to start the cruise in Duncan Bay or Penzance.)

Eco Boat Tour to Marlborough Environment Award winning 'Tui Nature Reserve' in the Marlborough Sounds. Tours from Elaine Bay - Duncan Bay - Penzance.
We organise eco nature boat tours from the following bays; Elaine Bay, Duncan Bay and Penzance in the Pelorus Sound in the Marlborough Sounds.
Boat cruise through the amazing bays, coves and waterways of the quiet Pelorus Sound to the remote and isolated conservation park Tui Nature Reserve. On the way we will take time to enjoy the rocky shores with the Shag colonies and other magnificent marine wildlife including the Little Blue Penguins and Gannets. If you like, you can even participate in our bird count observation programme!
Includes a Trip with a Kawasaki Mule people carrier up a winding track, over the hill to Tui Nature Reserve which is located on a plateau forest, 180 meter above sea level, imagine the views!
You will enjoy a lovely morning tea with the Plaisier family while you take in the amazing scenery.
Spend a couple of hours at Tui Nature Reserve and experience an isolated wilderness park in the Marlborough Sounds. You can go on a guided conservation tour including a walk amongst 900 year old trees like Rimu, Matai, Beech and broadleaf forest. In time our young predator control dogs (now in training), will be coming along for the walk and we will also be checking some traps on the way.
Great for bird watching ; view the Wood Pigeons, Tui's, Bellbirds and of course the tame Weka (NZ non flying bird). We set up a breeding programme for native lizards such as the Marlborough Green Gecko and a bird enclosure with Red Crowned Kakariki.
To make the eco tour nothing but enjoyable, we only go out with reasonable calm weather and with a maximum of eight people only.
The tour leaves Elaine Bay at 11.00 am (Duncan Bay and Penzance could be a bit later) and arrives back at about 15.30 pm.
