2012 Young Conservationist Award
This week we had the official result of the International Young Conservationist Award.
Leona was entered by the Marlborough's Department of Conservation which was a great honour. Leona didn't win but got some wonderful reference letters and DOC put a lot of work into it, which she is very grateful about. The winner was Elisângela Sales dos Santos, a Park Guard with the Amazon Conservation Team in Brazil, well done.
